CASE OUTLINES

The Discovery Act contains detailed provisions that resolve most issues. The case outlines do not attempt to cover the statutory provisions in any detail but are designed to provide a quick reference to relevant case law for the knowledgeable attorney. Although some description of cases is provided, they are not intended to serve as a practice guide or treatise but to provide access to the relevant cases for the lawyer to refresh his recollection, read and evaluate. One outline deals with basic principles of discovery to provide an introduction and overview for lawyers unfamiliar with the subject.

Select the discovery or privilege outline from the table below. Each outline is preceded by a CONTENTS section which is a mini-ouline that links to the main provisions, followed by a TABLE OF CASES for the specific outline, and then followed by the CASE OUTLINE. See also New Developments in cases, statutes and rules for prposed and adopted updates.
